For instance, patent work at Takaoka IP encompasses four main categories: drafting patent specifications, preparing patent translations, responding to office actions issued by the patent office, and managing deadlines and formalities. Drafting patent specifications may involve partners themselves or, when handled by associates or patent engineers, undergo review by partners with expertise in the client’s technology, technical specialists, or Ph.D. experts. Partners and associates engage in active discussions as needed.

All cases are meticulously managed by our paralegal group using software to track progress and ensure completion within deadlines. Additionally, an independent monitoring group oversees deadlines, providing a double-check alongside the paralegal group. Similarly, patent translations undergo a thorough process. A coordinator is initially assigned to manage the overall schedule and assign translators and proofreaders. Translations are checked by proofreaders to verify accuracy, and deadlines are monitored by both the paralegal group and independent monitoring group. Through these meticulous quality checks, including double and triple checks, we uphold high standards of quality across all our services.
