The 47th LES Japan Annual Conference will be held in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, from Friday, July 10 to Saturday, July 11, 2026.
The annual conference is one of the important events organized by LES Japan, bringing together professionals involved in licensing, technology transfer, and intellectual property management. It is also a valuable opportunity for members of the IP community to gather, exchange practical insights, and strengthen professional relationships.
Kenichi Nagasawa, an advisor to Takaoka IP, has been involved in the organization of the LES Japan Annual Conference for many years. Through his long-standing contribution to LES Japan, Mr. Nagasawa has maintained close connections with many professionals in the IP community.
This year’s host city, Nara, also gives the conference a special character. Nara played an important role in the early history of Japan and was once the seat of the Japanese capital. Today, the city is known for its historic temples, shrines, and cultural heritage, offering visitors an opportunity to experience one of Japan’s most historically significant regions.
Nara is also conveniently accessible from Tokyo. Participants traveling from Tokyo can take the Shinkansen to Kyoto and then continue to Nara by train. The journey takes approximately three hours, depending on transfer times.
We hope that the 2026 LES Japan Annual Conference in Nara will provide participants with a meaningful opportunity not only to discuss current issues in licensing and intellectual property, but also to enjoy the atmosphere of one of Japan’s ancient capitals.
